Our beginning
Set on 87 acres of natural bushland in the Port Stephens Hinterland, our story began in 2017 with a clear vision: to create a refined destination for people to meet, retreat, and connect in nature. Since then, the property has evolved into a purpose‑designed venue known for its tranquillity, quality, and attention to detail.
Conveniently located just over 1.5 hours from Sydney and 30 minutes from both Newcastle and Port Stephens, The Barn Port Stephens Hinterland offers an ideal balance of seclusion and accessibility. It is a place where the beauty of the bush meets the coastal charm of the region, providing a beautiful setting for weddings, events, and private gatherings.
A Growing Story
Our wildflower production is grounded in decades of experience in commercial horticulture, culminating in the establishment of our on‑site wildflower fields in 2021. This expertise allows us to grow high‑quality native foliage and blooms that enhance the natural beauty of the property year‑round.
Today, our wildflower fields have become one of the most loved features of the estate. Guests frequently comment on the tranquillity, colour, and immersive experience they offer — a unique backdrop that elevates weddings, events, and retreats held here.

The barn
The Barn is the primary indoor space. Designed with large sliding doors that open onto the deck, this space is versatile and can be arranged to suit your needs and style.
Complete with air conditioning & fans, this indoor space is suitable for use throughout the seasons.
Tables & chairs are available & may be arranged to suit individual needs.
the cottage
The Urban Connection Farm Cottage has quaint rustic charm. Featuring 3 bedrooms with queen beds, 2 with wardrobes. The cottage has a separate bathroom and toilet with self contained & fully equipped kitchen.
The Cottage is the perfect retreat for small groups, couples, women’s groups and more.
the bushland
When it is time for a break, or simply to unwind, our Nature Walk heads over the creek and through the forest to a large breathtaking clearing at the back of the property.
The walk skirts the edge of our koala habitat, so keep your eyes open and look up, you may spot a furry friend.
We have an abundance of wild life, including water dragons, turtles, kangaroos and deer.
